Setting the Scene

Set among Crownsville’s wooded neighborhoods, this residential property needed a fence that balanced natural aesthetics with everyday practicality.
 The homeowners wanted to preserve their open view while safely enclosing the sloped yard for pets and family. The new design needed to work around multiple terraces and large retaining walls, blending seamlessly into the natural landscape.

The Build

All Around Fence installed a three-rail split-rail system using pressure-treated wood posts and rails. A dark welded wire mesh was secured to the inside of the fence for containment without compromising visibility.
 Two custom gates were built to complement the layout — one with a decorative arched top and vertical pickets, the other a Z-braced design built for durability on the slope. Each gate features black strap hinges and thumb-latch hardware for easy access and secure closure.

The crew adjusted post depths and rail spacing to follow the grade precisely, ensuring consistent alignment across the property’s elevation changes.

The Finish

The finished fence feels timeless — a natural wood barrier that defines the yard without enclosing it visually. The split-rail profile complements the wooded backdrop, while the welded wire adds safety for pets and small children.
 Every gate opens smoothly, and the overall installation follows the property’s contours with exacting detail.
